Beloved, as we journey through life, it’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of everyday routines and obligations. We often find ourselves rushing from one task to another, barely pausing to catch our breath. Yet, in the midst of our hectic schedules, there lies a profound truth that we must not forget: life is fleeting, and each moment is a precious gift from God. Little wonder, the Psalmist prayed,
SCRIPTURE: “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” — Psalm 90:12 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The Psalmist’s prayer reminds us to “number our days,” to recognize the brevity of life and the importance of living with purpose and intentionality. The verse serves as a gentle yet urgent call to action, inviting us to pause and reflect on how we are investing our time and energy. And reflect deeply and consciously on the brevity of life. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Reflecting on the brevity of life is not meant to fill us with fear or anxiety, but rather to awaken us to the reality that every moment is a sacred opportunity to make a difference in the world around us.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, dearly beloved, let us learn to live each day with purpose and intentionality.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for the precious gift of life. Teach us to live with purpose and intentionality. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: And as we live, may we use our time to further God’s kingdom here on earth. In the name of Jesus’ Amen!
