LETTING GO AND MOVING FORWARD (3)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Monday, 13 January 2025
Focus: Living in God’s Promises
Message: The new year is a time to let go of the past and press forward into God’s promises.
God’s promises are not distant ideals—they are the reality we are invited to live in every day. As we move forward into the new year, we can rest in the assurance that God’s Word is true, His plans are good, and His promises never fail. He has promised to guide us, provide for us, and strengthen us for every step of the journey.
Living in God’s promises requires faith, but it also requires action. It’s not enough to know His promises—we must actively walk in them, declaring them over our lives and trusting Him to fulfill them. When fear or doubt arises, we can stand firm, knowing that God is faithful. The new year is an opportunity to step into the fullness of what He has prepared, living boldly as His children, and reflecting His glory in all we do.
Scripture Reading:
2 Corinthians 1:20 – “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so, through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.”
Refreshing for the Day:
So, beloved, write down a few promises of God that you want to focus on this year (e.g., His provision, guidance, peace, or love). Declare these promises over your life and commit to living in the confidence of His Word. Stay Refreshed!
Note This:
God’s promises are unchanging, and His Word is always true. Step into them with faith and boldness.
Responsibility:
How can you actively live in the promises of God this year? What actions can you take to demonstrate your trust in His faithfulness?
Prayer:
O Lord, thank You for Your unchanging promises. Help me to live each day in the confidence of Your Word and to walk boldly into the future You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Prophetic Declaration:
I declare that I am living in the fullness of God’s promises. His Word is true, His plans are good, and I will walk forward in faith and victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Bible Texts:
2 Corinthians 1:20
