KEEP YOUR TRUST ANCHORED IN GOD
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SATURDAY, 22 OCTOBER 2022
Beloved, have you ever felt like you were in a pit of despair, discouragement or even hopelessness? Having been jobless for years or have gone through infertility, and extreme health challenges. It then seems that the whole world is crumbling down on you, and peace has left you. So, you become discouraged and despaired. I can relate. Don’t worry, God has not forgotten you. He is working behind the scenes, and you need to keep your trust anchored in Him. And also keep to the counsel of the apostle Paul to the Philippians, He said to them,
SCRIPTURE: Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Sometimes, being in a pit doesn’t really mean misery or desperation. It could be a place of lifting and transformation. Recall the story of Joseph in Genesis 37-50, God gave him a divine connection when he was in prison and promoted him to a position of authority. Who would have thought that the pit and the prison would have led Joseph to the palace? So, beloved, in the same way, God is going to take what the enemy was meant for evil to shame you and turn it to your own good and victory. Instead of growing discouraged when you find yourself in the pit, let it encourage you, it may be directing your steps to promotion. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Sometimes, being in a pit doesn’t really mean misery or desperation. It could be a place of lifting and transformation.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, don’t allow your circumstances to keep you away from the promises God has in store for you; learn to keep your trust anchored in God.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to always keep my trust anchored in You, in Jesus’ name, Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you continue to keep your trust anchored in God, may the Lord bless you and lift you to an unimaginable height, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Philippians 1:6
