So, beloved, another great spiritual lesson we must learn as we continue to reflect on this sacred pilgrimage is “The message of humility.” Bethlehem, though a small town, became the stage for the most significant event in human history. The journey to this humble setting teaches us lessons in humility. There were great cities and towns at that time God could have chosen to accomplish His purpose, but amongst them all, He chose Bethlehem. And this confirms the Word of the Lord to Zerubbabel in Zach 4:6,
SCRIPTURE: “‘ …Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.'” — Zechariah 4:6 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Humility involves acknowledging our dependence on God. Recognize that every breath and every achievement is by His grace. In this kingdom, true greatness lies in humility. The more we humble ourselves, the more God can exalt us in His perfect way. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Humility is not weakness; it is a powerful virtue. Embrace it as a strength that opens the door to God’s grace and wisdom.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, let us ask God for the grace for sincere and total humility.
PRAYER: O LORD, as we continue this pilgrimage of faith, give us the grace for true and sincere humility, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: And may the Spirit of God inspire us to cultivate and embrace humility in our lives, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
