The journey to Bethlehem began with a divine call. Joseph and Mary, ordinary people chosen for an extraordinary purpose, embarked on a path marked by uncertainty. Imagine the journey, though uncertain, perhaps anxious, and yet marked by a resolute trust in God. You see, life often takes us on paths unknown, but like Mary and Joseph, we can find strength in knowing that God is with us in the journey, guiding each step.
SCRIPTURE: “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” —Micah 5:2 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Let us reflect on this matter: Mary, heavy with the expectancy of the Savior, journeyed with Joseph to Bethlehem. The journey was not easy, and the weight of her calling was profound. Likewise, our own journeys in life, it may be laden with expectations. But the key to overcome them lies in surrendering our burdens to God and trusting that He sustains us through every step. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: God’s call often leads us into new and unknown territory, urging us to trust His guidance even when the destination is unclear.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, let us once again, with keenness study the journey to Bethlehem, the pilgrimage of faith and learn from it.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, as we journey through life in this advent season, give us the grace to ever trust in You, even in the times of uncertainty, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: And may the Lord guide us and direct our steps even in the most difficult times of our lives, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
