JESUS WILL FIX YOU (7)

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: TUESDAY, 18 APRIL 2023
TOPIC: JESUS WILL FIX YOU (7)

Beloved, Jesus does not fix a person who has sin in him and doesn’t do what’s right thing in the eyes of the Lord. Yes it’s true. Recall that, previously on this matter, we have been looking at what we must do to attract the attention of God in our lives and make Him fix our lives and every broken pieces in us. But today’s point is the height of them all. You see, sin is an enemy of our destiny. And many times we pray and it seems like God is deaf and doesn’t hear us. No, the fact is that, God is not deaf to our prayers, but it’s our sin that hinders our prayers. No wonder the prophet Isaiah declared in Isaiah 59:1-2, and he said,

SCRIPTURE: Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear. (Isaiah 59:1-2 ESV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, what this practically means is that, if anyone has sin in him, Jesus will not fix him. And if he wants Jesus to fix him, he must confess his sins to God, and ask Him for mercy. And he will make resolute efforts to stay away from sin. When he would do all these, the promises of God in Exodus 23:25-26, will be his portion. The Lord says, “I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall surfer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.” Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.” (Exodus 15:26).

RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, examine your life now. Find if there’s any sin in your life and confess it to God and ask Him for mercy.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I confess my sins to you. Please hear my cry and have mercy on me, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

PROPHETIC WORD: As you have confessed your sins to God, may you find the grace to live above them, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
