INSIST ON ME, HOLY GHOST, UNTIL I LOOK LIKE JESUS (1)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional www.thefountspring.org
Date: Tuesday, 22 October 2024
Focus: The Desire to Be Like Jesus
In this devotional series, we embark on a journey of transformation led by the Holy Spirit. The cry “Insist on me, Holy Ghost” reflects our deep desire for the Spirit of God to continually shape us into the image of Christ, refusing to let our lives fall short of the divine purpose God has for us. Each day will focus on inviting the Holy Spirit to work in specific areas of our lives, refining us, empowering us, and leading us toward holiness and purpose. As we surrender to His guidance, we trust that our lives will not be wasted, but fully lived for God’s glory. Let us open our hearts to the Spirit’s transformative work as we seek to look more like Jesus each day.
Scripture Reading: “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” — 2 Corinthians 3:18
Refreshing for the Day: Therefore, beloved, ask the Holy Spirit to insist on you throughout the day, molding you into the image of Jesus. Reflect on areas in your life where you long to be more like Him, and allow the Spirit to work in those areas by the end of the day. Stay Refreshed!
Note This: When we cry out, “Insist on me, Holy Ghost,” we invite the Spirit of God to persistently work in us, removing what does not look like Jesus.
Responsibility: Where in your life do you desire to be more like Jesus? How can you invite the Holy Spirit to work on those areas today?
Prayer: Dear Holy Spirit, insist on me until I reflect the image of Jesus. I surrender to Your transforming work in my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
Prophetic Word: I declare that the Holy Spirit is at work in me, shaping my life to reflect Jesus in all I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Bible Texts: 2 Corinthians 3:18
