IF MY PEOPLE WILL CRY OUT TO ME (3)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SUNDAY, 17 MARCH 2024
So, beloved, crying out to the Lord entails seeking His face – not just His hand or His blessings but His very presence. It’s about cultivating intimacy with the One who holds the power to heal, to restore, and to redeem. It is about drawing near to God with confidence, knowing that He delights in revealing Himself to those who earnestly seek Him.
SCRIPTURE: “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:12-13 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: And finally, crying out to the Lord requires repentance and sincere contrition – a turning away from sin and a turning towards righteousness. It is about humbling ourselves before God, acknowledging our faults and failures, and embracing His offer of forgiveness and restoration. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Crying out to the Lord entails seeking His face – not just His hand or His blessings but His very presence.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, my dearly beloved, if you find yourself in need today, remember this invitation of our Heavenly Father – “If my people will cry out to me.”
PRAYER: O LORD, as we come before Your throne today, guide us in the path of righteousness, that we may seek Your face with all our hearts and turn away from our wicked ways. Give us the strength to resist temptation, to flee from sin, and to walk in obedience to Your Word. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: Now, today that we heard the Lord, may we heed His call, trusting in His faithfulness to answer, to forgive, and to heal, both individually and corporately, as we seek His face and turn from our wicked ways. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Jeremiah 29:13-13, 2 Chronicles 7:14
