When we say, “I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold,” we are making a bold declaration of where our hearts truly find wealth. Silver and gold are valuable, but their value is fleeting. Jesus, however, offers eternal riches that far outweigh the temporary allure of money. In Him, we receive treasures that endure: salvation, peace, and an unshakable foundation. Choosing Jesus means choosing what truly lasts—our eternal inheritance in Christ.

Scripture Reading:

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” — Matthew 6:19-21

As you go about your day, reflect on how you can shift your focus from chasing earthly wealth to pursuing the riches found in Christ. Choose to prioritize time with Jesus today—through prayer, reading His Word, or simply spending time in His presence. In doing so, you are building up eternal treasures that far surpass anything the world can offer. Let today be a day where you invest your heart fully in the true riches found only in Jesus. Note This:
The pursuit of material wealth can leave you empty, but pursuing Christ fills your life with treasures that last for eternity. Let your heart rest in the riches of His presence.
