So, another way we can develop confidence in God is by ‘realizing that we are helpless without God’. Yes, it is true. When we come to terms that we’re weak and cannot help ourselves, and put our trust instead in God, only then we can begin to develop true confidence in God.
SCRIPTURE: But happy is the man who has the God of Jacob as his helper, whose hope is in the Lord his God, (Psalm 146:5 TLB)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, the truth of the matter is, we are nothing but a breath. No amount of wealth, effort, strength nor beauty can help a man, whom God has not helped. Any wonder the psalmist understood this key and he declared, “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth (Ps 121:1-2). So, we pray for the grace to recognize our weaknesses and ask God to help our lives. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: For unless the Lord helps a man, that man is helpless.
RESPONSIBILITY: So beloved, deliberately ask God to help your life, even as you seek to grow true confidence in Him.
PRAYER: O LORD, help my life, even as I grow my confidence in You. For if You don’t help me, no one can help me, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May God hear you and send you help from Zion, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
