HINDERANCES TO INTIMACY WITH GOD

In our pursuit to having a greater and continuing intimacy with God, there are factors that may impede our efforts. We shall look at some of those encumbrances and in prayer ask God for the grace to deal with them.

 

SCRIPTURE:

For we wanted to come to you…but Satan blocked our way. (1 Thess. 2:18) NIV

 

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

Whatever could hinder your intimacy with God, will hinder your blessings from God.

 

Beloved, there are great and mighty things God wants to show to you. (Jer. 33:3). They are divine insights to prevail against every darts of the enemy. And you can only access these revelational insights by constant intimacy with God.

 

FACTORS THAT HINDERS INTIMACY WITH GOD

1.   UNCONFESSED SIN: This is a deadly toxic that resides within us to always convict us. It echoes the bell of conviction that makes us feel that we are not qualified to come closer to God.

2.   UNRESOLVED RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS: (Matt. 6:14-15); How healthy our relationship with others is, determines the quality of intimacy we will have with God. Resentment, antipathy, hatred, unforgiveness & lack of reconciliation in our hearts can block our very means of relationship with God. (Matt. 5:23-24).

Beloved, nothing in this life worth it to deny us access to our relationship with God. So, let us continue to ask the Holy Spirit to help us overcome these factors and more. Stay lifted!

 

NOTE THIS:

RESPONSIBILITY:

1.    Confess your sin and make reparation for them.

2.    Make effort to resolve every unhealthy relationship you have with others.

 

PRAYER:

O LORD, help my life. Give me the grace to overcome every hinderances to come closer to you, in Jesus’ name Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

 

PROPHETIC WORD:

Every hinderances in your relationship with God and man is over now, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
