GUIDE US, O LORD, IN THE PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (1)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: MONDAY, 18 MARCH 2024
In a world filled with distractions and temptations, it’s easy to lose our way. We often find ourselves at crossroads, unsure of which path to take. In moments of uncertainty, we cry out to the Lord, “Guide us, O Lord, in the path of righteousness.” Righteousness is not merely a destination we arrive at; it’s a journey we embark upon every single day. It’s about aligning our thoughts, words, and actions with the will of God. However, navigating this journey can be daunting without divine guidance.
SCRIPTURE: “Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long.” – Psalm 25:5 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The Psalmist understood this well when he penned the words of Psalm 25:5. He recognized that true guidance comes from the Lord. It’s not about relying solely on our own understanding but acknowledging God as our ultimate source of wisdom and direction. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When we pray, “Guide us, O Lord, in the path of righteousness,” we acknowledge our dependency on God. We recognize that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9).
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, in humility, we surrender our plans and desires to God’s perfect will.
PRAYER: O LORD, we come before you with humble hearts, acknowledging our need for Your guidance in our lives. Today, we lift up our prayers to You, asking for Your direction and leading in the path of righteousness. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord grant us the courage to step out in faith, even when the path before us seems uncertain. And may He guide us with His steadfast love and faithfulness. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Psalm 25:5, Isaiah 55:9
