FUEL YOUR PURPOSE WITH PRAYER
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: THURSDAY, 20 OCTOBER 2022
Beloved, if you really want to lead a great life and fulfil your purpose on earth, you must be a person of prayer. Prayer is the fuel that drives the purpose (Neh 1:4). No purpose, no matter how wonderful it may be, would succeed without prayer (Rom 1:10). It may start very well, but without the fuel of prayer, it’s a matter of time, it will crumble and suffocate. More so, it takes a great insight and remarkable understanding to discover and fulfil a purpose. And such insights and revelations are birthed at the place of prayer. And so, the Bible has this to say,
SCRIPTURE: The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out. (Proverbs 20:5 ESV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: I honestly think one of the saddest things in life is for one to have a purpose, but never grow to develop and fulfil it. Purpose thrives at the place of intense fire prayer. So, it’s amazing to see people of great purpose, struggling and grappling to succeed. Yes, they have a great purpose, but they lack the prayer-capacity to make it happen. So, they are utterly frustrated. But here is the conclusion of the matter, there is no alternative solution to this truth and bundle of evidence. As long as you would want to fulfil your destiny and accomplish your purpose on earth, you must be a person of prayer. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Purpose without prayer equals perpetual annoyance. It makes a person to be unnecessarily angry without knowing the actual cause.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, you must learn to build a prayer-capacity, and fuel your purpose with adequate prayer.
PRAYER: O LORD, make me a prayer machine, and cause me to pray without ceasing, in Jesus’ name, Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you begin to toil actively at the place of prayer, may the Lord sustain you and cause your purpose to be accomplished, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Proverbs 20:5, Nehemiah 1:4,11
