FOLLOWING IN THE STEPS OF CHRIST (7)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional www.thefountspring.org
Date: Monday, 14 October 2024
Focus: Living Sacrificially
Jesus’ entire life was one of sacrifice. He gave His time, His love, and ultimately His life for us. To follow in His steps means to live sacrificially—putting others’ needs before our own, giving of ourselves without expecting anything in return. When we live sacrificially, we reflect the heart of Christ to the world. This kind of love sets us apart as followers of Christ, demonstrating the depth of His love through our willingness to serve and give without condition.
Scripture Reading: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13
Refreshing for the Day: So, beloved, today, look for ways to live sacrificially. Whether it’s through serving others, giving of your time, or helping someone in need, let your actions reflect Christ’s sacrifice. Seek out opportunities to put others first, showing love through selfless acts. By the end of the day, reflect on how living sacrificially impacted those around you and deepened your walk with Christ. Stay Refreshed!
Note This: True love is sacrificial, and in giving of ourselves, we mirror the love of Christ and grow in His likeness.
Responsibility: What sacrifices can you make today to reflect Christ’s love? How can you serve others without expecting anything in return?
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your ultimate sacrifice. Help me to live a life of selfless love, putting others before myself, and reflecting Your heart in all I do. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
Prophetic Word: I declare that I will live sacrificially, following the example of Christ. I will serve, love, and give of myself, just as Jesus did for me. My life will be a reflection of His great love. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
