FIXING OUR EYES ON JESUS IN TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY (4)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SUNDAY, 25 FEBRUARY 2024
Successively, fixing our eyes on Jesus means finding and anchoring hope in His promises and resting in His grace. He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us, to work all things together for our good (Romans 8:28), and to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). When we cling to His promises, we find hope that transcends our circumstances and sustains us through every trial.
SCRIPTURE: “But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Ultimately, fixing our eyes on Jesus also implies resting in His grace. His grace is sufficient for us, covering our weaknesses and empowering us to overcome. In His grace, we find strength to face whatever challenges come our way, knowing that His power is made perfect in our weakness. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When we cling to God’s promises and rest in His grace, we find hope that transcends our circumstances and sustains us through every trial.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, dearly beloved, let us surrender our weaknesses to God, draw near to Him in prayer, immerse ourselves in His Word, trust in His promises, and rest in His grace.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your loving care for us. As we anchor our hope in You and rest in Your grace, may we discover Your strength that’s made perfect in our weakness, and Your grace that’s sufficient for us. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As we fix our eyes on Jesus in times of weakness, may we find strength, comfort, and hope in His unfailing love. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: 2 Corinthians 12:9, Romans 8:28, Jeremiah 29:11
