FIXING OUR EYES ON JESUS IN TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY (2)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: FRIDAY, 23 FEBRUARY 2024
So, fixing our eyes on Jesus in times of uncertainty is finding stability in the Word of God. Yes, it’s true. We live in a world of shifting opinions and changing circumstances, so the Word of God stands as an anchor for our souls. When we fix our eyes on Jesus, we immerse ourselves in His Word, finding stability, guidance, and comfort in its timeless truths.
SCRIPTURE: “For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” — Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Fixing our eyes on Jesus involves drawing near to Him in prayer, pouring out our hearts before Him, and seeking His presence in the midst of our struggles (Psalm 145:18). In prayer, we find solace, strength, and renewed perspective as we commune with the One who hears our every cry. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: As we fix our eyes on Jesus, we tap into His limitless strength. In moments of weakness, His strength becomes our own, empowering us to overcome obstacles and persevere through challenges.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, dearly beloved, let us always fix our eyes on Jesus and tap into His limitless strength in moments of weakness.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for the assurance that we can fix our eyes on You, the author and finisher of our faith. In times of uncertainty, help us to fix our soul in Your Word, and draw near to You in prayer. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As we fix our eyes on Jesus, may we find strength to navigate life’s uncertainties with unwavering faith. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Hebrew 4:12; 12:2, Psalm 145:18
