FIRE ON THE ALTAR: A LIFE OF CONSISTENT PRAYER (1)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Wednesday, 12 February 2025
Topic: Fire on the Altar: A Life of Consistent Prayer (1)
Focus: The Fire Must Not Go Out 🔥
Message:
Your calling must be fueled by prayer. A life without prayer is a life without power. Prayer is the fire that keeps our spirit alive, our faith strong, and our connection with God unbroken. This devotional series will guide you into a lifestyle of unceasing prayer and deep communion with God.
Key Verse:
📖 1 Thessalonians 5:17 – “Pray without ceasing.”
In the Old Testament, God commanded the priests to keep the fire on the altar burning continually—it must never go out (Leviticus 6:13). This fire represents prayer and communion with God.
Many believers start strong in prayer but grow cold over time. Life’s busyness, distractions, and discouragement can cause the fire to fade. But just as the priests tended to the altar daily, we must be intentional about keeping our prayer life ablaze.
Prayer is not an option—it is our lifeline. If we neglect it, we risk spiritual dryness. If we prioritize it, we will burn with passion for God.
Scripture Reading:
📖 Leviticus 6:13 – “The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.”
