FINDING STRENGTH IN DIFFICULT TIMES (2)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: FRIDAY, 6 OCTOBER 2023
So, beloved, as we continue to explore God’s promise of Isaiah 41:10; the second words of the verse say, “Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” In the midst of life’s storms and challenges, it’s common to feel overwhelmed and disheartened. We may question our abilities, our purpose, and our worthiness. It’s during these moments the declaration offers profound comfort and encouragement. When God says, “I am your God,” He reminds us of our identity and belonging. We are God’s cherished children. In times of doubt, remembering this identity can anchor our souls and remind us of our worth. We are not alone, for we belong to the One who formed us with purpose and intention.
SCRIPTURE: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: “I am your God” signifies an unwavering commitment on God’s part. He is not a distant deity who watches from afar, but a loving and faithful Father who is intimately involved in our lives. He cares about our concerns, listens to our prayers, and walks with us through every trial. His commitment to us is unbreakable, even when our faith wavers. The declaration is a beacon of hope in the darkest of times. It reminds us that our circumstances do not have the final say. Our God is greater than any challenge we face. He can turn despair into hope, and He specializes in bringing beauty out of ashes. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: “Do not be dismayed, for I am your God” is a call to trust. It beckons us to trust in God’s character and promises.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, instead of allowing ourselves to be consumed by dismay, we can choose faith. We can trust that God, as our God, is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28), even when we cannot see the full picture.
PRAYER: O GOD, thank You for Your wonderful promises in Word. May we find strength through them in times of difficulty, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Word of God strengthen our faith and bring us peace as we navigate life’s challenges, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
