FINDING REST IN THE SHADOW OF GOD

One of the most essential needs of the human in life is rest. Any wonder people could do anything and even go to any length in search of it. But the truth of the matter is, there is nowhere else to find sincere rest in life except in the shadow of the Lord Almighty. And the Bible is so explicit about the matter. It says in Psalm 91:1,
SCRIPTURE: Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1 NLT)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: However, it’s not just anybody that finds rest in the shadow of God. It’s only those who live in the shelter and the secret place of God shall find rest in Him. Yes, this is true. It’s not a random condition that might be altered or bent at will. But it’s a fundamental principle that governs the nature and the person of God. The principle comes alive when the succeeding elements are duly observed. So, here is the conclusion of the matter, it only those that live in the shelter of God that shall be admitted into His presence and find rest in Him. They shall not only have an admittance into His presence, but a residence under God’s protection; He will be their rest and refuge for ever. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Every other thing may promise you rest, but not with the peace of mind. It’s only in the shadow of God that you shall find the true rest.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, seek to live always in the shelter of the Almighty.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to always live in Your shelter all the days of my life. And cause me to find rest in You, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord be with you, bless you and give you all-round rest, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
