So, beloved, it’s certain to say that resting in Jesus does not mean that our problems will magically disappear or that life’s challenges will cease to exist. It means that we no longer bear the weight alone. When Jesus invites us to come to Him, He is not asking us to figure out everything on our own or to find our rest in worldly pleasures. Instead, He is urging us to bring our burdens to Him, to surrender our worries and anxieties, and to place our trust in His loving care.
SCRIPTURE: “Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.” – (Psalm 116:7 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Jesus offers us a unique kind of rest—an inner peace that transcends circumstances, a deep assurance that we are not alone, and a comforting presence that soothes our weary souls. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Responding to Jesus’ invitation is an invitation to experience His grace and mercy, to find healing and restoration, and to live a life filled with purpose and meaning.
RESPONSIBILITY: Go to God in prayer and ask Him to wrap His love around you.
PRAYER: Gracious Lord, I am in need and thirsty for your renewal. I ask that You breathe new life into my weary soul. Revive me with Your Spirit and cause me to find strength in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
