DATE: TUESDAY, 9 APRIL 2024
So, beloved, now that we understood what rest in Christ means, next is how do we find rest in Christ? You see, it is one thing to know of a subject and another to thrive and gain mastery in it and allow it to impact your life. Finding rest in Christ involves both a spiritual and practical journey. Thus, let us embark on this journey of discovery together. There are several steps one could take to find rest in Christ, but first he or she must come to Jesus and surrender to His Lordship. Let go of control, seek His presence and trust in His promises.
SCRIPTURE: “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Jesus invites us to approach Him with open hearts, knowing that He understands our struggles and is ready to offer us His peace and rest. We must surrender our worries, anxieties, and burdens to Him. Trust in His love, wisdom, and sovereignty over our lives. Release the need to control every aspect of our lives, and entrust our concerns and circumstances to God, knowing that He is faithful and able to work all things together for your good. Seek His Presence and make intentional efforts to spend time in prayer, meditation, and contemplation of His Word. Create moments of stillness and silence to listen to His voice and draw near to Him. Cling to the promises of His Word, knowing that He is faithful and true. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Jesus is more than enough, as you walk in His ways, you will find rest for your soul and discover the abundant life He offers.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, let us come to Jesus today, surrender our burdens and lay them down at His feet. Release the need to control every aspect of our lives and entrust our cares into His capable hands.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of rest that we find in Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to come to Him with open hearts, surrendering our burdens into His loving hands. Grant us the grace to trust in Your promises and abide in Your presence daily. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: May we find true rest for our souls as we come to Jesus, and may His peace guard our hearts and minds, today and always. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
