Beloved, I want to share with you about “Finding rest in Christ.” You see, in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, amidst the noise of responsibilities, worries, and demands, finding true rest can often seem elusive. Yet, in the midst of our busyness, Jesus extends a timeless invitation to each one of us: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
SCRIPTURE: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” – Matthew 11:28-29 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Finding rest in Christ is not merely about physical relaxation or escaping from the pressures of life. It is a deep and soul-satisfying rest that transcends circumstances and brings peace amidst the storms. It is a rest that rejuvenates our spirits, refreshes our minds, and renews our strength. So, beloved, let us, therefore, embrace the invitation of our Lord with open hearts and open hands. Let us come to Him in prayer, seeking His presence and His peace. Let us abide in Him daily, drawing strength from His Word and His Spirit. And let us rest assured in the knowledge that in Christ, we find rest for our weary souls. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When we surrender ourselves completely to Him, He carries our burdens and lightens our load.
RESPONSIBILITY: Let us, therefore, embrace the invitation of our Lord with open hearts and open hands. Let us come to Him in prayer, seeking His presence and His peace.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for the invitation to find rest in Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to lay down our burdens at His feet and to find solace in His presence. Grant us the grace to trust in Your providence and to surrender ourselves completely to Your will. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: May we find rest and renewal in the loving arms of Christ, And may His peace guard our hearts and minds, today and always. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
