FILTER YOUR THOUGHTS, DON’T LET EVERYTHING IN

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: SUNDAY 13 JUNE 2021

Of a truth, the world is so large, but every person has a space that belongs to {only} him. And that space is our thoughts, our attitude, our emotions. It’s our reactions to life, it’s who we spend time with, what we watch and listen to – that’s our space, that’s what we have control over.

The reason some people live worried, offended, negative is because they don’t filter their thoughts, they let everything in. They listen to gossips, hang out with people that are critical, and they feed them with bad news, but the Scripture says, “guard your heart…”

SCRIPTURE: Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (Proverbs 4:23) NIV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: We don’t have control over what people do, but we do have control over our thoughts, our attitude, how we respond. Beloved, life itself ordinarily is difficult, so don’t make it any more difficult for yourself. You have to filter your thoughts, be careful what you allow in. Always know that you can’t stop everything from coming, but you can stop it from getting down in your spirit.

So, be proactive about everything, watch the friends you keep? What are you listening to? Is it building you up, making you more positive, more hopeful? Or is it tearing you down, making you angry? Be wise and Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: We don’t have control over what people do, but we do have control over our thoughts, our attitude, how we respond.

RESPONSIBILITY: Be proactive: filter your thoughts and don’t let everything in.

PRAYER: O LORD, I take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: I demolish every negative thought raised against you and yours, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

BIBLE TEXTS: Prov. 4:23, 2 Cor 10:4
