EXPERIENCING INTIMACY WITH CHRIST
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: TUESDAY, 16 APRIL 2024
Within the intricate of human experience, there is an innate longing for connection that surpasses the fleeting nature of time. A longing for relationship, for belonging, for something greater than ourselves. This deep yearning finds its fulfillment in the embrace of divine intimacy with Christ. It is a journey not of distance but of closeness, not of separation but of union.
SCRIPTURE: “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” — John 15:4-5 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, beloved, intimacy with Christ is not a distant ideal but a living reality waiting to be embraced. It begins with a simple invitation – “Remain in me.” In these words, Jesus beckons us to abide in His presence, to dwell in the depths of His love, and to find our truest selves in Him. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: In the embrace of divine intimacy with Christ, we find solace for our weary souls, comfort for our troubled hearts, and acceptance for our brokenness.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, let us journey deeper into the heart of Christ, allowing His love to permeate every fiber of our being, until we are woven together with Him in a bond that transcends time and space.
PRAYER: O LORD, thank You for the gift of intimacy with You. Help us to remain in Your presence, to abide in Your love, and to walk in Your ways. May our hearts be ever attuned to Your voice, our lives a reflection of Your grace, and our souls a dwelling place for Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: As we journey through today, may we experience the depths of divine intimacy with Christ. May His presence surround us, His love envelop us, and His peace sustain us in every moment. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
