Beloved, I want to share with you today about “Embracing salvation: A new life in Christ.” In this series, we are going to be looking at salvation in entirety. Salvation, in its simplest form, is the divine act of rescuing and delivering us from the power of sin and its consequences (Gal 1:4). It is a precious gift freely given by God through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is through God’s boundless love and grace that this extraordinary opportunity is made available to each one of us. The Bible tells us in John 3:16,
SCRIPTURE: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NLT).
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: It’s through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His glorious resurrection that salvation came to us (Eph 1:7). Imagine for a moment that you are lost in a dark forest, surrounded by thorns and uncertainty. Your steps are faltering, and despair begins to consume your heart. Suddenly, a light appears in the distance, cutting through the darkness and guiding you towards safety. That light represents salvation, the transformative power of God’s love, shining brilliantly to save us from our spiritual darkness. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Salvation is not something we can earn or achieve through our own efforts. It is a precious gift freely given by God through His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, let us never take the gift of salvation for granted. It is a treasure that transforms us, empowers us, and gives us hope in the midst of life’s challenges.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to fully grasp the depth of Your love and the significance of what You have done for us, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As you accept Jesus today in your life, may you walk in the freedom and joy that salvation brings, and may your life be a testament to His grace, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
