DON’T HOLD GRUDGES

The reason many people have no joy, no peace, no progress in life, is because they hold on to grudges. They are so aggrieved and embittered, they harbor malice and hatred. They go to bed each night with unforgiveness in their heart, recalling their pains, reliving their hurts, thinking about their disappointments. But the Scripture says “…don’t let the sun go down on your anger”.
This is how it works. If the sun goes down with bitterness, it will come back up with bitterness. If it goes down with resentment, it comes back up with resentment. You know what it does? It’s blocking God’s blessings in your life; it’s keeping you from being happy and seeing the bright future.
SCRIPTURE: Don’t hold grudges…stop being angry and don’t try to take revenge. I am the Lord, and I command you to love others as much as you love yourself. (Leviticus 19:18-19) CEV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: No matter what kind of setbacks you face, no matter who does you wrong, you don’t have to drag through life defeated nor hold on to grudges.
Learn to let go. Don’t let resentments resist God’s blessings on your life and destiny. In Luke 23:24, Jesus was suffering the most horrible, painful death ever devised by sinful man, and He looked at the people responsible for His suffering and prayed for their forgiveness. He said, “Father forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing”.
Beloved, just like Jesus, we’re all instructed by scripture, not to hold grudges against anyone, no matter what they did to us. Know it that disappointments are inevitable, but grudge, resentment, bitterness is optional. If you want to live a great life, joyfully fulfilling your purpose on earth and make heaven at last; release every negative feeling, every hurt, every worry, every disappointment you have in your heart, forgive everyone that did you wrong, and ask God for the grace to live a grudge-free life. Stay Refreshed!

RESPONSIBILITY: Ask God for the grace to live above grudges, resentments and bitterness.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to live above grudges, bitterness and resentments, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
