DON’T BE AGAINST YOURSELF
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: THURSDAY, 15 JULY 2021
In a way, we have configured our minds to respond to great things, thus whensoever we’re not getting anything near to it, we’re easily troubled, and we begin to doubt ourselves. But the Scripture says, “many are the plans in a person’s heart, but the purpose of the Lord shall prevail”; so, if the plans we make does not coincide with the mind and intention of God for us, it may surely not work.
SCRIPTURE: Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand. (Proverbs 19:21) ESV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: No matter the number of times your plans failed through, it doesn’t give you the ticket to be against yourself, pick it up, re-strategize and give it a shot. That it does not work each time, doesn’t mean God is not aware of it, but He’s saying, “why not seek my heart desire and plan for you”. Sometimes, we’re unconsciously influenced to work according to the mind of people and what they have set for us, and thereby setting an unhealthy competition against ourselves.
In this case, we struggle to thrive, we exert needless energy trying to prove a point, and each time we scuffle. But Beloved, this is not necessary. You don’t have to push yourself too hard, STOP IT. Don’t waste your time and energy trying put a dot where there’s no “i”. Don’t be against yourself, believe in yourself, own the ground, take a stand for yourself, and refuse to let what didn’t work steal your joy. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: No matter the number of times your plans failed through, it doesn’t give you the ticket to be against yourself, pick it up, re-strategize and give it a shot.
RESPONSIBILITY: No matter what happens, don’t be against yourself.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to know Your purpose in my life and work towards it, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May the joy of the Lord be with you, even as He gives you the reason not to be against yourself, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
