Surrendering to Christ is not a one-time event but a daily, ongoing process. It involves continually yielding to Christ and His leading, seeking His will in every decision, and surrendering afresh each day (Luke 9:23). Surrender is not passive resignation but an active choice to trust and obey God. It involves taking intentional steps to align your thoughts, words, and actions with His will, surrendering your desires to His higher purposes.
SCRIPTURE: “Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.'”– Matthew 16:24 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Paradoxically, beloved, true freedom is found in surrendering to Christ. Surrendering releases you from the burden of trying to control everything and allows you to experience the peace that comes from resting in God’s care and provision (Matthew 11:29-30). Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Surrendering to Christ may involve sacrifice and letting go of things that are dear to you. It requires prioritizing God’s kingdom and His righteousness above all else, even if it means sacrificing your own desires and comfort (Matthew 6:33).
RESPONSIBILITY: So, let us ask God the grace for total surrender.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, give us the grace for total surrender. Help us to surrender our will to Yours in every decision we make in life. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As we come to Christ and surrender everything to Him, may we always find peace in His arm. In the name of Jesus’ Amen!
