So, beloved, another key to discovering peace in the arms of Christ is surrender. Surrender is a fundamental aspect of this matter. Surrendering to Christ means relinquishing control of every area of your life to Him. It involves acknowledging His lordship and submitting to His will wholeheartedly, trusting that His plans for you are good and perfect (Romans 12:2).
SCRIPTURE: “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” — James 4:10 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Surrender requires letting go of our own plans, desires, and agendas, and embracing God’s purposes for our lives instead. It involves releasing the need to have everything figured out and surrendering to God’s wisdom and guidance (Proverbs 3:5-6). Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Surrender requires humility, recognizing your own limitations and inadequacies and acknowledging your need for God’s strength and guidance (James 4:10).
RESPONSIBILITY: So, let us learn to humbly accept God’s way over our own and submitting to His authority.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, we come before you with a heart longing for surrender. Help us, Lord, to release our grip on control and lay down our own desires at your feet. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As we come to Christ and surrender our troubles and worries to Him, may we find peace that surpasses all understanding. In the name of Jesus’ Amen!
