COMMITTING YOUR PLANS TO THE LORD (3)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Friday, 10 January 2025
Focus: Walking in Faith and Obedience
Message: The new year is a time to surrender our plans and trust God to establish our steps.
Committing our plans to the Lord is not a passive act—it requires faith and obedience. Faith is believing that God will lead us, even when we don’t see the full picture. Obedience is the step we take as we trust Him. Together, faith and obedience align us with God’s purposes and position us to see His plans unfold in our lives.
Abraham is a powerful example of walking in faith and obedience. When God called him to leave his home and go to a land he didn’t know, Abraham obeyed without hesitation. He didn’t have all the details, but he trusted God’s promise. In the same way, we are called to take steps of faith, trusting that God will establish our plans as we follow His lead.
Scripture Reading:
Hebrews 11:8 – “By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.”
Refreshing for the Day:
So, beloved, ask God for the courage to take steps of faith this year. Identify one area where He is calling you to act in obedience, and commit to walking in trust, even if the path is unclear. Stay Refreshed!
Note This:
Faith is believing in God’s promises, and obedience is the action that demonstrates that trust.
Responsibility:
What steps of obedience is God calling you to take as you commit your plans to Him?
Prayer:
Lord, give me the courage to walk in faith and obedience, even when the way is unclear. Help me to trust that as I follow You, You will lead me into the plans You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Prophetic Declaration:
I declare that I will walk in faith and obedience, trusting that God will establish my plans and fulfill His purposes in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Bible Texts:
Hebrew 11:8
