Taking refuge in Jesus’ embrace brings a deep sense of joy and fulfillment that nothing else in the world can offer. The quest for joy and fulfillment is an important part of the human experience. Many people seek happiness in various ways—through success, relationships, possessions, or achievements—but often find that these sources are temporary and fleeting. The joy they bring may last for a moment, but it fades as life’s challenges, disappointments, and struggles come into play. But, in Jesus, we find the true source of joy that transcends circumstances.
SCRIPTURE: “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” — Psalm 16:11
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: When we take refuge in Jesus, we experience a different kind of joy—one that is not based on external circumstances or temporary pleasures. The joy that comes from being in Jesus’ presence is deep, enduring, and soul-satisfying. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: In Jesus, we find true joy and fulfillment, the kind that transcends the ups and downs of life. His presence fills us with a joy that the world cannot give, nor can it take away.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, if you’ve been searching for joy and fulfillment in the things of this world—whether through success, relationships, or achievements—you may have noticed that these sources of happiness are temporary. Do a U-turn and come to Jesus today and find a joy that is rooted in true love.
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart that longs for true joy and fulfillment. I acknowledge that so often I seek happiness in the things of this world, only to find that they leave me feeling empty. But today, I turn to You, help me to rest in Your embrace and to find my contentment in You, no matter what circumstances I face. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: As you take refufe in Jesus’ embrace, may you be filled with a joy that transcends the ups and downs of life, and let His peace guard your heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
