But then beloved, what does it mean to build our lives on Christ? It means more than just believing in Him; it means living according to His word, trusting in His promises, and allowing His Spirit to guide our every step. It means prioritizing His kingdom over our own ambitions and seeking His will in every decision.
SCRIPTURE: “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 3:11 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: When Christ is our foundation, we are not swayed by the changing opinions of the world, nor are we shaken by the trials we encounter. Instead, we stand firm, knowing that our security is not in our circumstances, but in the unchanging character of our Savior and Master Jesus Christ. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: The storms of life can leave us feeling vulnerable and overwhelmed. But, when Christ is our firm foundation, we are unshakable.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, when the winds blow and the storms rage, fear not, stand firm. Know that in Christ, you have a foundation that cannot be shaken.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You are our rock, our fortress, and our firm foundation. In You, we find security and strength, no matter the storms that rage around us. Teach us to build our lives on His teachings and to trust in His unfailing promises. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: When we face challenges, may God help us to remember that with Christ as our foundation, we cannot be shaken. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
