CARRYING YOUR CROSS DAILY (6)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional www.thefountspring.org
Date: Sunday, 20 October 2024
Focus: Surrendering to God’s Will
Again, beloved, carrying your cross means surrendering to God’s will, just as Jesus surrendered to the Father’s will in Gethsemane. Jesus prayed, “Not my will, but Yours be done,” showing us the perfect example of submission. Surrendering is not a sign of weakness; it’s a sign of trust. When we carry our cross, we lay down our plans and desires, trusting that God’s will is perfect and good.
Scripture Reading: “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” — Luke 22:42
Refreshing for the Day: So, today, ask God to help you surrender fully to His will. Let go of control and trust that His plans are better than your own. Reflect at the end of the day on how surrender brought peace and allowed God to work in your life. Stay Refreshed!
Note This: Surrendering to God’s will is the ultimate act of faith and trust in His perfect plan.
Responsibility: What areas of your life have you struggled to surrender to God? How can you trust His will today?
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, help me to surrender my plans and desires to Your will. Teach me to trust You fully, knowing that Your way is always best. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
Prophetic Word: I declare that I will surrender to God’s will daily, trusting that His plans are perfect and good. I lay down my desires and choose to follow His way. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
