CARRYING YOUR CROSS DAILY (3)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional www.thefountspring.org
Date: Thursday, 17 October 2024
Focus: Facing Hardships
Carrying the cross daily often involves facing hardships, just as Jesus endured suffering on the way to the cross. Following Jesus doesn’t mean life will be easy, but He promises to be with us through every trial. Hardships refine our faith, teaching us to rely on God’s strength rather than our own. Jesus carried His cross with humility and endurance, and we are called to do the same, trusting in God’s grace to carry us through.
Scripture Reading: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
Refreshing for the Day: So, beloved, today, as you face challenges or difficulties, remember that carrying your cross means relying on God’s strength. Ask Him for the grace to endure with patience and faith. By the end of the day, reflect on how God’s strength has carried you through your hardships. Stay Refreshed!
Note This: In our weakness, God’s strength shines the brightest. Hardships become opportunities to experience His grace.
Responsibility: What hardship are you currently facing, and how can you lean on God’s strength instead of your own?
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, give me the grace to endure hardships and carry my cross faithfully. Help me to trust in Your strength when I am weak. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
Prophetic Word: I declare that I will face every hardship with faith, knowing that God’s grace is sufficient for me. In my weakness, He is strong. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Bible Texts: 2 Corinthians 12:9
