CARRIERS OF HIS PRESENCE — HOSTING THE GLORY OF GOD (5)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Sunday, 1 June 2025

Topic: Carriers of His Presence – Hosting the Glory of God (5)

Focus: Holiness—The Fragrance of a Dwelling Place

Message:

God is not seeking just moments of visitation—He is seeking habitation. In a generation chasing platforms, popularity, and quick encounters, God is looking for hearts that will host Him. Like the house of Obed-Edom, where the ark of God rested, your life can become a sanctuary for His presence. This devotional series is a prophetic invitation to cultivate a life that draws, welcomes, and sustains the glory of God. It is for those who long to become dwelling places—temples of divine habitation, not occasional visitation.

📖 Key Verse:

2 Samuel 6:11 – “The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom… and the Lord blessed him.”

Devotional:

If you want to attract the presence of God, live a holy life. God’s presence doesn’t dwell in polluted places. Holiness is not old-fashioned—it is the atmosphere in which God’s glory rests. The ark of God did not stay just anywhere. It found rest in the house of Obed-Edom, a man whose life and home were evidently in order. The result? God blessed everything he had (2 Samuel 6:11). Holiness makes your life a habitation, not just a visitation. It says to God, “You are welcome here—not just today, but every day.”

📖 Scripture Reading:

  • 2 Corinthians 6:17–18 – “Come out from among them and be separate… and I will receive you.”
  • Psalm 24:3–4 – “Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?… He who has clean hands and a pure heart.”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

Too often we seek God’s power but neglect His purity. We desire His presence but resist His process. Yet God is not mocked—He reveals His glory to those who pursue Him with clean hands and a pure heart (Psalm 24:3–4). So, beloved, holiness is not about perfection; it’s about separation—being set apart for God. It’s the fragrance that makes Heaven linger. Holiness isn’t a burden—it’s a gift. It’s what makes us different in a world chasing compromise. You’re not called to blend in; you’re called to burn bright. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

Holiness is Heaven’s welcome mat.

🛡️ Responsibility:

  1. Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart today.
  2. Lay down any habits, thoughts, or patterns that hinder the presence of God in your life.

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, make me holy as You are holy. Cleanse my heart. Purify my motives. Let nothing in me repel Your presence. I want to be a vessel where Your glory can rest. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

I am set apart for God. Holiness is my lifestyle. My life is a dwelling place for His glory—pure, powerful, and prepared!  Alleluia!
