Ultimately, God’s invitation to call upon Him is a pathway to intimacy and communion with Him. And one sure way this is accessible is through prayer. Through prayer, we draw near to God’s heart, aligning our will with His and experiencing the depth of His presence. In the stillness of prayer, we encounter the One who knows us intimately and loves us unconditionally.
SCRIPTURE: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him.” — 1 John 5:14-15 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, calling upon God requires an act of trust—a surrendering of our plans, our desires, and our uncertainties into His hands. It’s an acknowledgment that He is sovereign, wise, and trustworthy, even when we cannot see the way forward. In calling upon Him, we place our faith in His unfailing love and goodness.
