In life, mindset is everything. Have you ever wondered if something is holding you back from experiencing the promises of God? You heard about all the promises of God, but you have never actually experienced them. You have done practically everything you needed to do; you have waited, prayed, and fasted; yet all to no avail. It looks like there is a strong force pulling you back. Severally you have queried, and sooner you became worried and yet frustrated.

But there is one thing you have not given attention to— your mindset. You forget that your mindset matters.

SCRIPTURE: For as he thinks in his heart, so is he… (Proverbs 23:7 NKJV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Until we come to realize that in the wake of overcoming life difficulties and the plunging into abundance is determined by the mindset we keep. One wrong mindset could cause many disasters unless it is set right. The story of the Israelites is a good example of what a difference our mindset can make. God called them out of Egypt to possess the land that He had promised them—a land of abundance flowing with milk and honey… (Exo 13:5).

But what was supposed to be an 11-day journey ended up being a 40-year journey through the wilderness—all because they didn’t know how to think right (Deut. 1). When things got so hard for them, they started grumbling and complaining about their situation, instead of turning to God. So instead of moving forward and experiencing the good things God had planned for them, God had to take them the long, hard way through the wilderness to prepare them. Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: Until we come to realize that in the wake of overcoming life difficulties and the plunging into abundance is determined by the mindset we keep.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, consciously determine to always keep the right mindset.

PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to keep the right mindset, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)

PROPHETIC WORD: Receive the grace NOW, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
