BURNING ALTARS: A LIFESTYLE OF DEEP PRAYER AND INTIMACY (1)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Wednesday, 5 March 2025
Focus: Rebuilding the Altar
Message:
The altar of prayer is where spiritual fire is sustained. If the fire of prayer burns low, spiritual life weakens. God is calling a generation of burning ones—believers who will keep the flame alive, refuse to be lukewarm, and live in deep intimacy with Him.
This devotional will rekindle your prayer life, awaken fresh passion, and lead you into a deeper lifestyle of communion with God. 🔥🔥🔥
Key Verse:
📖 Leviticus 6:13 – “The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.”
Before fire can burn, there must be an altar. An altar is a place of sacrifice, devotion, and encounter. In the Old Testament, when Israel drifted away from God, their altars fell into ruins. Before revival could come, the first step was always rebuilding the altar. Elijah rebuilt the altar before fire fell from heaven (1 Kings 18:30-38). Abraham built an altar wherever he went to commune with God (Genesis 12:7). Jesus calls us to be living sacrifices on the altar of God (Romans 12:1).
Beloved. if the fire in your prayer life has dimmed, it’s time to rebuild your altar. Prayer must not be a seasonal event—it must be your lifestyle.
Scripture Reading:
📖 1 Kings 18:30 – “Then Elijah said to all the people, ‘Come near to me.’ So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that had been torn down.”
