BORN TO SAVE
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Saturday, 28 December 2024
Message: Jesus’ birth was not ordinary—it was the arrival of the Savior, who came to rescue us from sin and bring us back into relationship with God.
Christmas is the celebration of a miraculous birth, but even more, it is the celebration of a Savior. When the angel appeared to Joseph, he didn’t just announce that Mary would have a son; he revealed the mission of this child: “He will save his people from their sins.” Jesus was born for this purpose—to rescue humanity from the bondage of sin and reconcile us to God.
His birth in a manger might have seemed humble and unassuming, but it marked the beginning of the greatest rescue mission in history. Jesus didn’t come simply to be a teacher, healer, or prophet—He came to save. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He fulfilled this mission, offering forgiveness, freedom, and eternal life to all who believe in Him.
So, beloved, this season of Christmas, as we reflect on the birth of Jesus, let us remember the purpose for which He came. He was born to save us, to restore what was lost, and to invite us into a relationship with God. The joy of Christmas is found in knowing that the Savior has come, and through Him, we have hope, redemption, and life everlasting.
