The Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5 from verse 1 through 14 sent a strong message to the body of Christ. He was sounding the alarm. That every member of the body must arise and choose to relinquish the things of this world in pursuit of bringing pleasure to our Lord and Savior Jesus. That we must aim to please Jesus and in so doing forsake the world and its evil desires.
SCRIPTURE: “Wherefore he saith, awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.” – Ephesians 5:14 (KJV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, this is not a season for sleeping giants or beauties in the church. Rather the church has entered into a season where we must arise and take up our offices as Kings and priests unto our God. We are in dark times, and Scripture affirms that it will only get darker (Isaiah 60:2), and only light can vanquish darkness. So we MUST awaken, we MUST arise from the dead and seek the light that Christ gives because that is our victory over the enemy in these dark ages. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: The call to “Awake” is a call to action, a call to embrace the light of Christ to vanquish every darkness in our lives and in our world.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, as we heed this call today, let us ask God for the grace to build stamina in our pursuit of light.
PRAYER: O LORD, I thank You for the call to awaken from spiritual slumber. Help me to build stamina as i pursue light earnestly and diligently, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As you heed this call of spiritual awareness, may you find light in Christ, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
