Beloved, I want to share with you today about a timeless subject “Awake, thou that sleepest.” You see, in the journey of life, it’s all too easy to slip into a state of spiritual slumber, where the cares of the world and the monotony of routine dull our sensitivity to the divine. However, by the mercies of God, the subject matter serves as a poignant wake-up call, urging us to rouse from our spiritual slumber and embrace the radiant light of Christ. But then, how can we truly wake up from our sleep? The apostle Paul exhorted us in Ephesians 5:14, and he said,

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Therefore, just as the first light of dawn stirs the earth from darkness, God’s call to awaken pierces through the shadows of our lives. This call is not a mere suggestion; it’s a loving command from God, our Heavenly Father who loves to see us fully alive and engaged in our relationship with Him. So, dearly beloved, are you in a spiritual slumber? Perhaps you’ve grown accustomed to the status quo, allowing routine and familiarity to cloud your awareness of God’s presence. It’s time to shake off the drowsiness and open your heart to this call. We shall continue tomorrow, but till then, Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: The call to “Awake, thou that sleepest” is a call to action, a call to embrace the abundant life that Christ offers.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, as we heed this call today, let us ask God for the grace to shake off every spiritual laziness and embrace the life that Christ offers.

PRAYER: O LORD, I thank You for the call to awaken from spiritual slumber. Help me to shake off every complacency that I may embrace the fullness of life in Christ, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

PROPHETIC WORD: As you heed this call of spiritual awareness, may you find light in Christ, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
