ARE YOU WOUNDED, COME; JESUS WILL BIND YOUR WOUNDS (1)

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: TUESDAY, 10 OCTOBER 2023

In our journey through life, we often find ourselves wounded and broken by the trials and tribulations that come our way. These wounds can be physical, emotional, or spiritual, and they can leave us feeling lost and in need of healing. However, we have a promise in Jesus Christ that brings hope to our wounded hearts: “Are you wounded, come; Jesus will bind your wounds.” So, beloved, let us reflect on this comforting message in today’s devotional.

Bottom of FormSCRIPTURE: “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;” – Isaiah 61:1 (ESV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The first step in finding healing is acknowledging our wounds. Yes, it’s true. For it’s written, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”– Psalm 34:18. Sometimes, we try to hide our pain or pretend that everything is fine, but Jesus invites us to come to Him just as we are, wounded and broken. He knows our struggles and is ready to receive us with open arms. Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: Jesus is not a distant God but a loving Savior who understands our pain.

When we come to Him with our wounds, we encounter His deep and compassionate love.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, please come to Jesus now! Don’t go ahead and continue to die in silence. Come to Jesus today, He will bind your wounds.

PRAYER:  O LORD JESUS, You’re the great Physician. We come to You wounded and heartbroken, please bind up our wounds and bring comfort to our hurting souls, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

PROPHETIC WORD: As we come to Jesus today, and always; may we find true healing and wholeness in Him, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: Palm 34:18, Isaiah 61:1
